Thanks for your time, ill explain my issue. It is almost like http://www.2carpros.com/forum/2-vt163633.html?postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=10 but maybe worse?

I bought this car and it was working fine for the first 2 months... now its turning into a lemon and a big pain in the ass. This is based on a New oil change+topped up, + full(to line) antifreeze and 3/4 tank of gas.

I can drive my car fine for about the first 25minutes, after about 15minutes it goes from its normal 90'C to 120'C which is extremely hot, the more gas i give it, it slowly goes down, dont give it gas and it shoots up. 5minutes after that the gas light will pop on, which obviously is messed up because its near-full. as-soon as I start to slow down, when the car goes under 2000RPM's then i start hearing a clicking noise like something is litteraly broken, smelling foul like burning oil, oil light comes on and the car sounds like it is going to die. Then everytime i stop and have to start again, it goes red line 125'C and if under 1500RPM's it sounds like it will die, once i reach near 25minute range, if i still drive, it will start clicking, sounds in the engine and then will die. Lift the hood and smoke is coming from just behind the engine. after it was off for near an hour i was able to start it again, this is a recurring problem. Also happens just driving in the city, stop and go.

Now.. the car never had this problem when it was running off of water(2 weeks, still had AF in the engine but was only putting in water) and then i used ACDELCO GM Engine Cleanz i believe what it is called. The mechanic applied in through the vacuum hose(as directed) and it sucked in 3/4 of the bottel. recommends 1/4. We did not think the car would start, but the car started fine actually... lots of white smoke and black liquid out of the end. Stuff burns the eyes.

~Also, now my heater will not work, only cold(not ac but cold and smells like burned oil~

Hopefully recieve some advise today, ive heard it may be the thermostat. thanks

The clicking may be a result of the carbon cleaner. Sucking too much in and compressing it in a cylinder. Which doesn't compress. It may have bent a connecting rod.

If the coolant is low it will give you no heat.

If the engine overheats, it can blow the head gasket or crack the head, which may suck coolant into the engine whcih also doesn't compress.

Thank you for the heads up, hopefully it doesnt crack or blow. That would not be good. I am only looking to own the car for another month I just want it to not stop dead for an hour on the middle of a date xD. I am willing to spend some money on it just cant replace full obviously. Thanks. Should I try the thermostat? Im not sure exactly how to start debugging. I work at a bodyshop, so I get full discounts on parts;)
