1998 Pontiac Sunfire Engine swaps

I would like to know if it is fairly easy to swap my current 2.4 Engine 'T-model' with a newer 2001 model 2.4 'T-Model'
and what it would take to make the swap?

I looks like they won't enterchange as the block and head are not the same. They did a block and head change in 99. In 98 it used block number 250 and head number 683-18 and in 99 they went to block number 783 and head number 799. So check you numbers if they are the same then you have a late model and it will work otherwise it won't. Hope this helps.
