Engine runs for about an hour with no problems, after that the engine smothers out. When the accelerator is pressed it smothers. When you get off the accelerator it will idle for a minute & then die. It will restart immediately & run for 2-3 minutes and smother out again.
Have replaced the alternator, crankshaft & bearings, all 4 coil packs, spark plugs & wires, timing chain & gears, MAP sensor, Idle sensor, O2 sensor, fuel filter.
The head & valves have been reworked.
The fuel pump tested OK for pressure.
The catalytic convertor is free flowing.

Do you have any codes in the PCM? What was your fuel pressure when the car would smother out? What are your fuel trims at when the car is smothering?

Sometimes it shows a code and sometimes it dont but has no effect on how the motor runs. And I have no idea what the fuel pressure or trim is when it smothers. Normally the pressure 50 psi. How do I make a contribution?

Check what the code is. Hook up a fuel gauge and see what the fuel pressure is when it runs like crap. Get a scanner that can read data and you will see STFT-Short term fuel trim and LTFT-Long term fuel trim. Tell us what those are. Its a good start.
