1994 Pontiac Sunbird

1994 Pontiac Sunbird 4 cyl Automatic 102000 miles

i have a 1994 sunbird le 4 cylinder when driving if I come to a quick stop it stalls and doesnt want start for few minutes. I was told it was a oil sensor but the oil in car is full. I was also told it was some other sensor that is located on the manifold and this sensor has little piston in it. I was told take that particular sensor off and clean with carb cleaner and not mess with piston on it or it wouldnt be no good. I dont remember what that sensor is called. So what do you think the problem is?
