2002 Pontiac Montana Low oil pressure light

Engine Performance problem
2002 Pontiac Montana 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 77,000 miles

Hi,

I have low oil pressure light comes on at cold startup, goes out after 3-7sec. Checked oil level -good and for leaks - none. Valve cover removed - good oil flow.
Suspect oil sensor is bad? Where do I locate the sensor? How do I diagnose? Other opinions?

Was engine oil the proper weight/vescosity when replaced? Need to check oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, visual inspection won't tell you if oil pressure is slightly lower than it should be..
