1997 Pontiac Grand Prix harmonic balancer broke

the harmonic balancer worked loose and broke. We replaced it, and it did start right up, but still loss of power and running rough. Also. When left to idle awhile. One header turned red hot.
What would cause these problems?

The balancer may have caused damage to a sensor, like crankshaft sensor.

Have car scanned and see if there are any codes or pending codes.

The red exhaust is an indication of an incorret air/fuel mixture and/or incorrect timing.
