1999 Pontiac Grand Am looses power

My car looses power when it struggles and when going up steep hills. I live in a rezervation so all roads are not paved my car has to deal with the mud so when it goes thru mud I have to Gas it or ram it but still losses power.

First thing to test is fuel pressure with mechanical gauge. Pressure should be at least 40-45psi with key on and engine not running, pressure should hold for a minute or so.

The 99 with the 3400 SFI engine had known problems with going through coil packs and plug wires.
