1996 Grand Am oil light

I have a 1996 grand am with 96000 miles. When I break the oil light goes on and also when I give it gas. The light goes off as soon as I let up. Any suggedtions?

Could be the oil pressure sending unit out of calibration, the gauge, oil pump PRV, clogged pick-up screen, worned engine bearings or totally sludged-up engine/galleries
