My top break light will work but the two lower lamps will not work. The rear lamps come on when I turn the lights on. I checked the fuse it is ok. I have the brake light on the dash lit up. What could it be? Also my oil pressure is low I dont know if the gauge is bad because of the car is so old or its the pump. How can I check the pump?

For the brake lights you need to get the turn/hazard switch checked out the bottom brake light circuit goes thru there.

Oil pressure-you need to check it with a mechanical gauge hook it up where the oil pressure sending unit if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean oil pump or engine bearings.

Thank you very much. Now that I think about it I accidentally hit the hazard light switch and my turn signals wouldn't work until I rattled it around. I am guessing that is what caused my brake lights to go out. Thanks for the oil pressure tip also.
