1995 Pontiac Grand Am - no head and tail lights

We just purchased a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am for our daughter. 2.3 dual overhead cam quad, 38,700 miles! (Belonged to a little old lady that just drove it to church) We test drove it on a sunny day so never thought to turn the lights on.
When we turn on the headlight switch only the dome light comes on, the head and tail lights do not. The break lights work fine. Not sure what's going on. Any advice?

Thank you,
Christine

Electrical problems can be very easy to fix, or very hard to find. In your case, check the fuses first, then check the bulbs to see if they're burned out, and if all that went ok, probably replace the light switch itself. My vote on the problem is the switch since they do have a tendancy to burn out before 4 bulbs do at once.
