Electrical problem
1991 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

this grand am kept dying. Found and replaced a bad crank sensor ( all slpit apart) car ran good for a day and a half then died never to start again. A mechanic said the icm is bad. It is in a position I can't get to without dismantalling half the engine intake manifold down. Is there an easier way to get to this thing? I do not have a lift.

You can go from underneath the car. I replaced mine from the top. It does seem like half of the engine has to come out. However, I was able to see what I was doing by removing everything.
