I put a new fuel pump and filter in and car ran great for 24hrs. Now hard to start/stalls. Good fire on plugs. I have to use ether to get car to start.

Check fuel pressure with a mechanical gauge. It is possible the strainer came off or the pulsator is leaking (if equipped), or the hose from pump to supply line is leaking.

Check fuel pressure
if low check and or replace the pulsator in the tank
(its the piece that the new pump connected to made of hard plastic and rubber )
