Code p0171 lean bank #1 check engine light keeps coming on I erase codes with obdd2 checker and code comes back within 10 miles ive already spent $85.00 on oxygen sensor help thanks john

Hello, The code doesn't tell you what to replace, just that there' s a problem. Maybe the system is running lean, fuel, vacuum leak.

Did you check the 02 sensor circuits? If it reads lean, you try to make it read rich, if it does, it may be ok.

He's on the right track. I would like to add that even a weak fuel pump could do this. If you were to take this to a shop they should be able to look at the fuel trims to help make a better determination.
