1999 Plymouth Voyager Fan relay switch

The check engine soon light comes on, my husband hooks his meter up and it shows the relay fan switch so he changes it. Light goes off and all is well. Light comes on again, same diagnosis, my husband changes the switch and all is well again. What would cause the relay fan swith to continue to go out?

If you're referring to the 4-wire module under the left front headlamp housing, it is very important that it is bolted solidly to clean metal, otherwise it will overheat and short.
