I just bought this used van yesterday and it drove wonderfully for the test drive. The problem today is when I accelerate from a stopped position the van shakes alot and makes a loud noise-this lasts for a couple of seconds then the van runs smoothly again. Any help would be appreciated as I am a single mom of 4 kids and can't afford to get taken by a crooked mechanic. Thanks for any help.

Since you just bought it on the 12th, I would take it back to were you bought it and see if they would at least give you a free diagnosis and or fix it. Warrantee or not.

Can you maybe somewhat discribe the noise. High Pitched Sqeal. A whine. Or Grinding.

It could be a few different things. Torque Converter Shudder, Bearings going bad, a drive axle going bad, a bad engine or transmission mount. More detail would help but highly suggest taking it back to the place you bought it.
