Engine Performance problem
1996 Plymouth Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Check engine lite is on and starts flashing when idleing even for brief period of time.
Autozone diagnosis is #3 cylinder misfire.
New plugs, wires, and ignition coil.

Still stalling out at stops? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi, thanx for the donation. Yeah, a flashing light is usually an indication of a misfire, now a misfire can mean many things, however in your case I think that you, have a problem with the idle air control valve and possibly a dirty throttle body, that is mostlikely why your stalling. The misfire can also be contributed in part by that valve, (air restriction). Two, the other part, is your suffering from a bad intake manifold gasket, a hole in the "accordian" air intake tube coming from the air filter box to the throttlebody, a bad injector or egr valve. These are some of the common causes of a misfire. I'm sorry that we cant narrow it down, but that is the bad part of a misfire. All those other items that you replaced, were also possibilities, atleast those are taken care of. Let me know if you have any more questions,
jody
