1997 Plymouth Breeze

My 97 Plymouth Breeze is sluggish changing gears. It has stalled on us 3 times and has white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. It always starts after it has staled and then the white somke stays. We took it to a shop and they told it was because we have an oil leak and it is hitting he spark plugs. However, we do not see any oil on our driveway. Are they telling me the truth? Can someone please help me?

Burning oil usualy causes blue smoke, antifreeze usualy causes white.
Pull the rad cap when the engine is cold. If you are low on coolant then you may have a bad head gasket.
If this is the case then you could try some Bars Leak.
You can purchase it at an auto parts store.
If it is oil burning then you could try some STP oil treatment for now as it can slow the oil burning problem somewhat.
