Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Plymouth Breeze 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a Breeze that while driving just shuts off, all lights and everything else still works when it shuts off, then give's me a hard time to restart but eventually does start back up, have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, map sensor, idler sensor, i'm about to pull the rest of my hair out. Please anyone have any suggestions.

Check the crank position sensor, this will cause the symptoms you are having, do you have a check engine light?

Took it to A.Z. And there were no codes. And on this car I read that you have to turn ingnition on off on off on and look for blinking light but I don't get anything that way either.
Thank you for time and your quick reply.

And you say you've changed the crank position sensor?/ You have to verify which component is missing when you get this no start situation. I got some stuff you can look at that will help you check these items. Check the idle air control valve too. Try unplugging the vavle and then starting it.

Yes crank p.S. Is located above oil filter held by one screw has a connector with 3 wires. Just came back from testing the car started right up drove it around and back no problem. Something is failing is going bad but has not completely failed. Gonna inspect and check ignition, let you know how it goes.

It's a 2.0 SOHC. Problem solved, Dropped gas tank disconnected fuel pump pulled it out changed fuel regulator has worked so far back and forth 3 times with it not shutting off, next is to figure out why when I stop the rpms goes up before it idles were is suppose too. Legitimate007 I would like to thank you for your help, with out the videos, would not have solved this. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Still have the idle issue, but don't know if I should just go change the fuel pump or if it's the idle sensor or what? Any ideas?

Awesome, and thank you for the votes, I thing you should(if you havent already) clean the throttle body and check/changet the idle air control valve, after all, that is what keeps the vehicles idle, it may just be dirty.
