I went to the store and when I came out the car started, sputtered, and died and would not start after that.

I cannot here the fuel pump starting up when I turn the key on.

I would like to try the relay first before I buy a new pump but I don't know where it is located. I have five wireing harnesses plugged in to black connectors on the drivers side of the engine compartment (two on the strut hump and three on the fender) do you know which one it would be. The relay the guy at O'Reilly's showed me doesn't match what I am seeing under the hood. I would go to the library to look at the Chilton's but I really don't want to walk that far.

thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Before we get too far down this path, I would suggest we check the fuel pressure just to make sure this is the issue.

Clearly if you cannot hear the pump then this would fit the issue but checking the pressure is the best first step.

If there is no pressure, then we can check the relay using this guide.

I am attaching the info below from the manual on the relay so let's start with this and go from there.

Let me know what questions you have.

Thanks
