Pinging noise

When I stop after I have driven the car when I get out I sometimes hear a pinging noise around back of car. It stops in a minute or two. Is this just normal cooling car cooling off?

May just be the exhaust cooling off, it would not hurt to get a mechanic to get it up on a hoist while it is hot and check that it is not anything else. Better to be safe than sorry.
