2001 Ford Everest Repair Question

Topics covered: Engine, Fuel pressure, Coolant.
Mileage: 11,000 miles.

Asked on December 28, 2011

Car has been sporadically not starting

Sometimes it starts beautifully, other times it takes two times to start.
It happens when engine has been warmed up and I run in the store and come back out, or even when its cold in the morning. Its even harder starting when its 35 or below.

Lets start by checking the fuel pressure if its within specs with a fuel pressure tester and test the engine coolant temperature sensor and clean the idle air contol valve-start here
