I am working on a 04 olds alero 3.4 50,000 miles. The car ran just fine but after killing it it won't start back when you try to turn the key over it doesn't crank, click or anything its like you don't even have a battery in or something. The battery is brand new all the fuses are good. Could it be the ignition switch or what? Thanks

Could be the ignition switch/neutral safety switch/starter relay and starter.

It turns out it was the pass lock sensor. I can reset the pass II system and it starts right up.

I am currently working on a 04 Alero witht similar problems. No cranking when the key is turned. The PCM is not sending the ground to turn on the starter relay. Does the pass-lock do this? Because I thought the pass-lock only cut injectors? I also cannot communicate with any of the modules. The PCM has already been swapped with another. Have any help?
