Im poorman supporting six, wifes car is about to quit cant afford that to happen, problem identified engine crank sensor through local service inspection center telling her of the problem, I am no stranger to working on vehicles however this one is new to me, information I have gathered is that it is a external part lower end of the engine, question can I change this part myself and expect the engine to start over or would I need to take it to the shop because they told her that it would effect the cars computer, right now A is blown B is backing up A but if it goes the car quits

Hi Michael,

Depending on what liter engine it is it can be fairly simple or you will have to remove the Crank Shaft Pulley.

If you give me the engine size in Liters I can get the proceedure for you plus diagram.
