My car has been a great car but lately when i start it it dies and I have to do this about 3 or 4 times and rev it and it will stay started. could this be bad gas or what could be going wrong

Clean out the idle air control valve and test the throttle position sensor and coolant temperature sensor-

thanks so much for the reply, we just had to change some type of igniton fuel thing because it was spraying gas under my hood could there be something with that, I am not smelling fuel like when it was spraying under the hood also drained all gas instantly when it was doing this.
