How hard is it to replace a head gasket and about how much does it cost?

Cost is around $700 including labor and parts at an experienced repair shop for one head gasket or around $850 for both left and right side gaskets.

Let me know the engine size (2.0L 3.1L etc.) And which side needs replaced (left or right side gasket) and I will post procedures for replacement.
