1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass steering problems

Hey im stuck now I turned a corner and my steering wheel locked up and would not turn I finaly got it to turn but it locks up once in a while and I cant figure it out it lost alot of powersteering fluid but all the hoses look fine any advice?

On my Olds Cutlass Supreme (1194), if you turn the wheel too hard to the right or left, it locks, you have to put your foot on the brake and press it - whiel turning the wheel still - to release it.

I found this out by accident. After spending about $300 getting the ignition lock replaced as I thought it was the key that was frozen (it also wouldn't come out with the wheel locked). The dealer in this case was much more helpful than the private car repair place. It was right before they discontinued the Oldsmobile line. A very annoying problem. Hope this helps.
