Hi, my service engine soon light came on (solid, not blinking) the other day while traveling out of town. I went to O'Reilys and asked them to read the code which came back P015B. From what I understand, the issue is that an O2 sensor is not responsive. I really appreciate my mechanic back home and would prefer to wait and have the sensor taken care of by him. I will be away for about two weeks and expect to have traveled about 1,300 miles. The gentleman at O'Reilys felt that waiting is okay and that it would not cause damage or cause the car to break down. I am hoping to confirm that here.
Thanks for any advice you might have!

Good evening.

The code for an air/fuel ratio sensor. When this code sets, the main input for fuel control is not working. Running for 1,300 miles is a long way with no fuel control. This could cause damage to the catalytic converter as well as fouling out the plugs.

Remember, the guy at the parts store is a salesman, not technicians.

Below are the possibilities.
