This howling noise is not engine related as it is audible when car is moving in neutral. It starts at low speeds and gets louder and deeper the faster you go. Can't be sure but I think it's coming from rear. Also seems to be getting louder with time. Trying not to use car too much until I get this sorted

If this is a wind noise then it is most likely coming through a window. The best way to figure that out is to use masking tap (painters tap) and tap all the window seams and then remove the tap one piece at a time until it comes back to find where it is coming from.

However, this could also be a wheel bearing. Does the noise change if you sway back and forth on the road when it is making the noise? If the noise gets softer and louder as you shift the weight back and forth then it is most likely a wheel bearing.

Here is a guide that will help:

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Worse case, can you get a recording of the noise and that should help narrow this down. Thanks
