Truck stalled on the road. Had it towed home, replaced coil and new distributor. It ran for two miles and stalled again. Had it towed home again. Had the new coil checked and it's good. Haven't checked the new distributor yet. No spark at coil
Any suggestions? Before it stalled the last time, it ran perfectly before stalling.
Thanks George

Hello,

It sounds like an ignition switch is failing. Can you tell me if you have power at the coil when it stalls? Here is a guide to help you test for power with the key on:

Please run down this guide and report back.

Hey Ken,
Thanks for your quick reply. You were right about the ignition switch being bad. I removed the wheel and plastic ring, then noticed 2 brass wires that
were bent after removing the plastic that was attached. Yesterday, I bought
a new switch and will bolt it on later today. How do these brass rods connect to the switch at the bottom of the column? The guy at the parts
store said there is a rod that runs through the column. I haven't removed it
yet. We live in the country with much grass to cut. So, I'm late getting back
to you, Thanks so much for your help. George
