When I crank my truck, it makes a squeaking sound (like a belt) It only does this when the A/C is on.
and will continue to squeak at high RPM's.
Then the A/C will start blowing hot air. Then it will make the squeaking sound (just for a minute) then the air will blow cold again. Is this a sign of the compressor going out?

Thanks,
Allen

When was the last time you have the A/C System Services? Is the system fully charged? It could just be the Clutch in combo with low freon. If the system is charged then it may be the Compressor.

To check if clutch is noisy before starting spray the a/c pulley in the center to lube the bearings. Start vehicle if noise is gone then clutch bearing are going bad.
