I have a nissan sentra 2.0 automatic. It struggles to accelarate at low speeds such as 15 to 25 mph. Besides that it is fine. It struggles to go on reverse aswell. Service engine soon light came on. Some people said it might be the transmission. When I went to the sho, the people there did not even test it and told me it is the transmission due to the descriptions I gave him. They suggested a complete replacement.

what could it be? How much would it cost? How long would it take?

Get the computer scanned at Autozone. I can promise you, if your transmission has been well-maintained, it is not the transmission. It is probably related to (speed sensors, TCC-may be), but not the transmission itself.

Get back with us with the the code numbers.
