My car while driving one day felt almost as if it was running out of gas. While I accelerated it would jerk and start to lose it's power to accelerate and it died. It did this a couple times as I drove home until I just pulled over and parked it. I changed the fuel filter and air filter and it did make it home but tried to die. The next day I took it to the shop and ofcourse it did not do it for the mechanic. It drove fine for a week and it did it again as I drove to work. Loss of power while I was driving like a mild jerking you can feel in the acceleration. I took it back to the shop and ofcourse it would NOT do it. It did stall tho. I am hoping for some suggestions so I can have my reliable car back.

Hello, I just wanted to reply to my own question regarding my Maxima. Thanks to 2CARPROS and all the wonderful resources I was able to diagnose my cars problem myself and it was the Mass Air Flow Sensor! It is fixed and is running beautifully! Thanks for your wonderful website full of valuable information!
