Electrical problem
1985 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car only starts with a jump start. I hooked a multimeter to it and when I turn the key switch forward the voltage drops from 12.22v to 11.25v.
Could it be that the 500CCA battery I bought does not have enough to turn the starter? Starter has a new solenoid and it has been tested, so I know it works properly.

Disable the ignition system-crank engine over for 10secs and read the battery voltage while cranking should be over 9.6volts-less then that replace the battery-make sure the battery is cleaned and properly tightened
