I just recently purchased this car for my daughter, you have to turn the ignition really hard in order to get it to turn over. Haven't had any problems until today (103 degrees) it turns over but doesn't seem like it's firing.
I know nothing about newer cars, I prefer the old carb models myself.
any ideas. I am going to tow the car home tomorrow and charge the battery to full and try it again.
do fuel injection cars have a vapor lock problem? When I took off the gas cap the suction pressure was unbelievable.
thanks

Ok, the starting problem as far as turning the key is possibly the Ignition Switch.

Vapor Lock is non existant in fuel injection.

After removing gas cap and releasing vacuum pressure did you try starting the vehicle? If not able to try to start vehicle do to low battery then once battery is charged try starting the vehicle if vehicle starts replace gas cap.
