Noises problem
2008 Nissan Altima Automatic 24460 miles

My car is a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5S with a CVT (variable) automatic transmission. I have never used the manual function on the transmission. The engine is making a noise when I accelerate, something between a whining and a grinding noise. The noise goes on at all speeds, and stops when I take my foot off the gas. It sounds like the transmission might be trying to shift, but I'm not sure. The engine temperature does not go up beyond the normal range.

The car is still under warranty. I received the bulletin you sent with instructions about the Service Campaign. Thank you for your help.
