I have removed the old alternator and put the new one on. I am having difficulties with the belt. Where do I put the tension tool to loosen the belt to put it back on the new alternator?

Loosen the adjuster lockbolt.
Use the adjusting bolt to loosen or tighten the drive belt tension.
Tighten the adjuster lockbolt to 9-14 ft. lbs. (16-19 Nm).
