My truck shuts off when I go in reverse

When I back up my truck it runs just fine until I hit the brake than she just shuts off! What is the problem and how do I fix it?

If the truck only does it in reverse then it could be a transmission. Do me a favor and when backing up before you come to a stop slip the transmission into neutral to see if it stalls.
