Key broke off and my key fob does not have the chip in it

The green key light is not coming off and it will not start my car. What can I do? Please help me.

Just to be clear as to what the issue is, you broke the key that has the chip in it and the key you are using does not have the chip?

If this is the case, you can try and trick it by holding the part of the broken key that has the chip in it, against the steering column next to the ignition switch and then use the metal key to turn the ignition.

You may have to tape the chip part to the metal key just to be sure it is in the correct position.

If that does not work, then unfortunately you are going to have to replace the key and have it programmed.

This means we are going to need a scan tool capable of programming this new key.
