My car is not moving?

My car started moving slowly with engine high as if someone is dragging me back and finally stopped after a while it move. What could that be? Please I need your help.

Hi,

It sounds like the transmission was slipping. Have you checked the transmission fluid level and condition?

Thank you sir, this car has been packed for some month now as a result of not moving but this morning I just tried it and it moves with out done anything to it presently is it safe to go out with it?

Hi,

That is a hard question to answer not knowing what prevented it from moving before. Were you able to check the fluid level and condition? Is the check engine light staying on when the vehicle is running?

Yes, the check engine has been on for a long time now and the fluid level is not in Gauge position, and it smells bad. Could it have been that the fiber is burned? And if fiber has burn how come it starts moving now after parking for some months now. Thanks

Hi,

It's possible excessive dirt moved into the pan from the filter. If the transmission fluid is dirty, I would remove the pan and service it with a new filter and fluid.
