All the reason why a check engine light stays on.

There are a lot of things that will cause this light to come on. So, we need to always start by checking the codes.

Once we know what codes are there, we will know what direction to go but here is another guide that talks if this is safe to drive with or not. There are times that it is and that is not. However, not knowing what codes are there, we cannot be sure it is safe.
