I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant that I bought used it has a 125,000 Miles on it. I changed my oil about a month ago and was told there is metal in the oil, my engine has also been making a knocking noise. I was told that my engine was going to blow however I have been driving it since and there hasn't been to be any problems. Is my engine going to blow or is there something else that it could be?

If there truly was metal in the oil, it doesn't sound good.

The knocking could be a number of different things in the engine, but it could run for a long time - or it could blow today.

I once had a motorcycle that had metal in the oil, and knocked. It was definitely an engine problem. However, I kept the oil and filter changed, drove it for a year and then traded it in.

Again, it does sound like a bad problem.

Good luck bud, sounds like you got a rod bearing spun out so that means your crankshaft needs machined or a new one works and you probably need a new rod if not a few of them and if your gonna go through that trouble better off doing a whole overhaul of your engine.

Have fun I had the same problem on a 3000gt very stressful but better that way if the car is worth that much to you!
