ok, so my car kept dying, needed a jump. disconnected the battery this morning to discover that the altenator is bad. Got a new one, installed it, but it still wouldn't hold a charge. Took the battery in and had it checked. It was fine. put the battery on a charger the car will start but only stays running for 30 secs- 1 min then it sputters and dies. It will start right back up but does the same thing again...

If the alternator has been checked properly and the battery is fine, then I would suspect there is a loose connection from the alternator to the battery. Have the alternator charging rate recorded on the car itself as this may lead to the problem straight away.
