i changed the terminals on the battery and now when i start the car it shuts down on me or turns off when i take my foot of the gas

Hi jojones44,
The computer has to relearn to stabilise the idling speed.
Run engine till it warms up with all electrical load off until the idling speed stablises.
Turn A/C on and run for 5 minutes and if the idling still is too low, clean the throttle body and Idle Solenoind control and retest.
