My car dies in when idling. It startes fine, brand new battery, and drives fine. My first thought was that the fuel filter needs changed. Can you help me with what some of the issues may be that are causing this problem?

Hi brant2810,

Thank you for the donation.

I believe the problem is due to low idling speed and thic could be caused by dirty throttle body and IAC valve.

If the problem had occurred only after replacement of the battery, then the computer needs to relearn to stabiliser the idling speed.

Here is somethig that might help.

Start the engine with all load OFF.
Run until engine is at operating temperature and cooling fans comes on at least 2 times.
Turn A/C on and run for another 5 mins.

Test drive and see if problem is resolved.
