I have a Mitsubishi Eclipse that cuts off unexpectedly, especially when slowing down or turning corners. I have replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and checked the distributor to make sure its sending power to the spark plugs. I dont know what else to check. I have checked the onboard cpu, and the only thing it comes up with is that there is a small air leak, which probably just came from me taking off the plenium. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dtoles1283,

Most prpbably you have an idling problem, so I need more info to get a better understanding.

During normal operating temp idling, what is the rpm?

If you rev the engine and release the accelerator, does the idle drop very low then only return to about 750 rpm?

When switching on the AC, does the idle drop then stabilises?

If yes to both above, the throttle body and ISC needs some cleaning.
