I'm just jumping in on all kinds of questions today. Anyways, have you thought the car might need a front end alignment? Or a low tire will do that also, as well as a brake dragiging

I' did an A/C compressor and didn't have the fancy 134a vacuum pump. I replaced the compressor, the filter/dryer and all the seals. I stuffed rags in the hoses as soon as I opened them up to keep air and mositure out. Then put the new parts on it and cranked it up -- it worked good. (That was on a F150)

One word of caution -- a friend of mine who is a mechanic happened to stop by and recommended tripling the amount of oil that was provided with the R20 to 134a conversion kit.

It took a full 1/2 day. My biggest problem was the expansion valve, some places call it a capillary valve. It got stuck and was not coming out. We had to cut the tubing and trow it away- replacing it with a kit that is mde for that pupose. I think it was easy enough.
