I have had my car in the shop 3 times with no luck. I will be driving (usually a long distance) seems to be fine around town, and the car will sputter a bit and then dies. After sitting for awhile it will start back up again and be fine for awhile. I have had it put on a machine with no luck on any trouble codes coming up. I was using cruise control last time it did it. Nobody can seem to find the problem. The fuel filter has been changed. Planning on long trip in 4 days and am nervous about taking it.

Normally it turns out to be the ignition module, these heat up with the engine, then crap out, and will restart after a few minutes of cool down, This is one of the signs it's on the way out, you can remove it, take it to Autozone, they can test it for you before you buy a new one.
