1994 Mazda Protege will not start

Sometimes the car will not turn off, you can turn the key to off, and the car stays running, now it will not start

Check ignition switch
check battery and make sure its fully charged
if key out of ignition and dash light is on then you have a bad ignition or a feed back into the ignition system check if you had done any wiring
