1994 Mazda Protege HAVE FUEL AND SPARK BUT WILL NOT START

1994 Mazda Protege 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I JUST REPLACED TRANS WITH USED ONE AND NOW THE CAR WON'T START IT TURNS OVER BUT WILL NOT FIRE.I HAVE SPARK AND HAVE FUEL BUT ALL IT DOES IS TURN OVER.I AM NOT SURE IF TRANS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.

No, the transmition would have no play in the engine firing. Was the same thing happening before the swap? With fuel and spark coming in, there is only available airflow or timing.

RAN GREAT BEFORE SWAP. AND IT DID FIRE WHEN I SPRAY IN THROTTLE BODY BUT NOW I THINK ITS FLOODED AND WON'T DO ANYTHING BUT TURN OVER AND SMELL LOTS OF GAS.I THOUGHT MAYBE WHEN SWAPING TRANS I PINCHED WIRE OR SOMETHING BUT FOLLOWED EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE.

Yeah, if it ran fine before, there should be no problem with air. Only things left would be like you said with pinching a wire; misconnectings or just trying to deal with the flooding
