My 1991 Protege will either stumble on acceleration or stall when I am coming to a stop. Sometimes both. I re-start the car and it run fine for a good bit more and then do it again. I have installed a new fuel pump in it, cleaned out the whole fuel system including replacing all of the hoses, fuel filter and cleaned out the injectors. When the car is running right, it will run very good that is once I get past the stumbling issue.

I was thinking it was the TPS. Because the square cover is off of it and it seems that no matter where I move it, it will show no difference at all.

There is no EGR on it at all.

So thanks for the fast reply.

Do you have any tips on how to adjust the TPS once I get a new one?

I mean I am not a bad shade tree mechanic. But, all knowlegde from the pros is most definately welcomed.

Thanks again for you time and fast reply.

I will let ya know how it works out.
